In 2024, FCIS formally partnered with CATS Academy Boston, a distinguished member of CATS Global Schools (CGS) with a rich educational legacy spanning over a century in Boston, USA. This collaboration enables FCIS to integrate the renowned American holistic education system, elite academic standards, faculty development initiatives, and college counseling services.
FCIS has been NEASC accredited since its establishment, marking six years of accreditation. NEASC was established in 1885 by former Harvard University President Charles William Elliott and is the oldest regional accreditation organization in the United States. The association is headquartered in Massachusetts and serves over 1,500 public, private, and international institutions in more than 85 countries and regions worldwide. It is recognized as one of the principal and most challenging educational accreditation bodies in the United States.
In the fall semester of 2024, NEASC accreditation officials will visit the school for the first time since the pandemic, providing valuable suggestions for its brand upgrade and further enhancement of its teaching and service systems.
The academic curriculum adheres to the Common Core State Standards and incorporates the Advanced Placement (AP) system, ensuring students receive a comprehensive and challenging educational experience. Currently, FCIS offers 22 electives A.P. courses out of 38, adjusting offerings based on student needs.
The school maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio of 4:1. The school prides itself on a highly qualified and experienced faculty team as the cornerstone of its educational excellence. With 40 core subject teachers, all European and American expatriates, including 13 with doctoral degrees and most holding master’s degrees, the average teaching experience exceeds 15 years.
FCIS has a track record of unparalleled success in college placement. It has graduated four cohorts of 67 students, with 12 recipients of scholarships. Notably, 100% of graduates have successfully gained admission to their preferred top-tier universities worldwide, including University College London, London School of Economics and Political Science, University of Manchester, New York University, Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism (ranked 2nd globally), Parsons School of Design (ranked 4th globally), University of Tokyo, University of Sydney, and University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada.
